Trip Knitting

I love a good road trip. We got suckered into going to a wedding that's about 20 hours drive away and my sweet man just can't take off too much time from work so we're driving down, we'll be there for an evening and a day then the two day trip back. I'm slightly worried that the Jeep won't make it. Also we don't know anyone except my husband's parents. So I'm looking at the trip as 40 hours of sitting still family time.
My current knitting project is winding down. Here's the first few inches of ruffles. Can you see how cramped the stitches are on my super long needle? It's going to take some time but nothing like 40 hours. So now I have to plan what to knit on the trip....
